Meet Ariel Smith - Founder
Ariel Smith is the Founder of FLOURISHING, INC. With a professional background in banking and higher education, Ariel began working extensively with nonprofits and faith-based organizations starting in the early 2000s. Her love for the youth continued to grow, leading to the decision to develop her own non-profit addressing the lack of financial literacy and career readiness in the school systems nationwide. Discussing with like-minded individuals, FLOURISHING, INC. was launched in March 2019.
Since the very beginning, Ariel’s vision for FLOURISHING, INC. has been to empower youth (grades 9th -12th ) with the tools and resources to produce positive outcomes in their finances and careers. That vision is fulfilled in FLOURISHING, INC. comprehensive, program-based approach to helping individuals flourish and to continue flourishing in every area of their lives.
Ariel is a proud alum of the University of Delaware. She received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing. She is enrolled in the Master’s Program at Wilmington University studying Business Administration with a concentration in Organizational Leadership. She’s served as Student Services Coach at Strayer University, Wilmington Campus, servicing new and returning students until graduation.
Over the course of her professional career, Ariel has worked as an Adjunct Professor at Delaware Technical Community College Business Department,
Financial Coach - $tand By Me, Talent Consultant for Career Services assisting employers and new employees put action to advice, and a member on the board of directors for charitable organizations in the Tri-State area.
A lover of the arts, avid traveler, and restaurant guru, she resides in Delaware.
