Course Description
GOT B.U.D.G.E.T
is a program that gives students the opportunity to engage in financial conversations while incorporating real world experiences in a classroom setting. The goal is to educate students through successful application of program will include creation of their own budget and learn demonstrations of managing, saving, and other characteristics that will be essential to financial stability.
This program will incorporate an overall picture of transforming your mind and money through an assortment of activities, technologies, and informational topics that cater to the student’s way of learning and financial need.
A Foundational Course is applicable, relatable, and enjoyable for students to connect with like-minded individuals while productively receiving the keys to financial freedom.
Course Goals
• Relate finances to real-life experiences
• Present the keys and resources to flourish in their finances
• Use a variety of technologies (budget applications, informational clips, and the internet)
• Develop an understanding of financial vocabulary
• Identifying characteristics that correlate with being financially free
• Create a sustainable budget
• Assess personal and financial goals
By the end of this program students will:
• Apply for personal checking and saving account
• Develop a personal budget
• Compose short and long term financial goals
• Be able to manage and maintain finances and savings
• Retrieve key characteristics that coincide with financial freedom
